11th Annual INTERPA Conference with the Theme of “Digitalization of Policing" and 22nd Executive Board Meeting & General Council Meeting
11th Annual INTERPA Conference with the Theme of “Digitalization of Policing" and 22nd Executive Board Meeting & General Council Meeting were held on the dates of 12th-14th September of 2022, hosted by Bangladesh Police Staff College, with the participation of 116 representatives of 39 countries.
- 11th General Council Meeting and 22nd Executive Board Meeting
As a first, the Event has started with the Annual Meeting (11th General Council Meeting (GCM) and 22nd Executive Board Meeting (EBM)). During Meeting, Member Countries have handled the issues on the agenda items which are relevant to future activities of INTERPA.
As a brief result of the meeting, Croatia, Ecuador, Liberia and Nigeria joined the INTERPA family and INTERPA has reached 80 member institutions from 63 countries. Moreover, Election for the Presidency, Vice-Presidencies and Executive Board Memberships were also held.

Observer Countries also attended the meeting as listener. In total, 116 representatives from 39 countries have attended to the meeting.
- INTERPA 11th Annual Conference
Opening Ceremony of INTERPA 11th Annual Conference with the theme of “Digitalization of Policing” has been conducted with the participation of H.E. Sheikh HASINA (Prime Minister of Bangladesh, online participation), Prof. Yılmaz ÇOLAK Ph.D. (President of INTERPA), Asaduzzaman KHAN (Minister of Home Affairs of Bangladesh), Benazir AHMED (Inspector General of Bangladesh Police), Akhter HOSSAIN (Senior Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs), Khandker Golam FARUQ (Rector of Bangladesh Police Staff College) and 116 representatives from 39 countries.
1st Session of INTERPA 11th Annual Conference proceeded with the title of “Social Media Analysis on Policing” were carried out with valuable contribution of 4 Speakers from Bangladesh, Italy, Sudan and Vietnam.
On the second day of the Event, the city tour as a social programme has been planned for the representatives. Within the city tour, Bangladesh National Parliament, Bangladesh Police Liberation War Museum and Mujibur Rahman’s House were visited.
2nd Session of INTERPA 11th Annual Conference proceeded with the title of “Digitalization on Policing and Changing Threat Perceptions” were carried out with valuable contribution of 4 speakers from Bangladesh, Italy and Türkiye.
As the last session, 3rd Session of INTERPA 11th Annual Conference proceeded with the title of “Use of Digital Technology in Policing” were carried out with valuable contribution of 5 speakers from Bangladesh, India, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kenya.
After, Final Declaration was announced by the Academic Committee and Closing Remarks were made by respectively Khandker Golam FARUQ (Rector of Bangladesh Police Staff College), Benazir AHMED (Inspector General of Bangladesh Police) and Prof. Yılmaz ÇOLAK Ph.D. (President of INTERPA & Turkish National Police Academy).
The Conference was composed of 3 sessions.
- Session 1: Social Media Analysis on Policing
- Session 2: Digitalization on Policing and Changing Threat Perceptions
- Session 3: Use of Digital Technology in Policing
Within 3 sessions, 13 presentations were made in total by Representatives from Bangladesh, Italy, India, Kenya, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Türkiye and Vietnam.
